Lena & Kyle met 6 years ago at work by a simple coincidence. Kyle had taken off a year from school and was working night shifts. Lena worked the day shift and they never should have bumped into each other. Kyle was asked to stay and help out on a morning shift and the rest is history! Railyn, their daughter, was about one year old when she met Kyle. Throughout the day, Railyn became my second shooter, always wanting to help out with taking photos and posing her mom and dad.
We began the day with a gorgeous first look at Lagerman Reservoir. Kyle mentioned that the only thing that went "wrong" on their wedding day was that it was actually "too nice" outside. Everyone expected snow, cold temperatures, and the girls even brought along shawls; while Kyle wore a wool suit. The day was beautiful, it was in the upper 60s! We had some fun with the bridal party as the group fled from an imaginary dinosaur (hilarious photo below!)
After photos were finished, we headed to the ceremony at The Oak Room at Oskar Blues. The group had some fun riding around on tricycles, having some beers made by Oskar Blues, and taking some gorgeous photos by the barrels. The ceremony began underneath a gorgeous "Colorado" sign as Lena's Dad walked her down the aisle. Lena and Kyle wrote and said their own vows, as their guests wiped away tears. Their vows perfectly summed up their easy-going, funny, and deeply loving personalities. They included Railyn in a special moment, where they both promised that they would always be there for her. Kyle and Railyn shared a special dance at the end of the night as he held onto her tightly, you could tell throughout the entire day that their bond is very strong.
After some extremely delicious food, four tear jerkingly sweet speeches, and an incredible night of fun dancing- the two left with a sparkler send off surrounded by their closest friends. The newly weds are honeymooning in Madeira, Portugal! It was such a pleasure capturing their day!
